Mari Sainio is a composer, music producer and pianist who has done different type of concert, theatre and film projects and also performs as a solo artist. She graduated in 2015 from London’s Royal College of Music as a master of composition and has done a lot of collaborations with different type of groups and artists around the world.
In summer 2017 she released her EP Tales and right now she finalises her debut album that will be released in the beginning of 2018.
Her previous works also include monologue opera The Raven for bass baritone, a piece for male choir and saxophone soloist (premiere in the Musiikkitalo’s concert hall in May 2018), radio theatre piece Aava for Finnish National Radio, a orchestral piece Lucid Dream for Baltic Sea Philharmonic, multimedia symphony The Infinite Bridge and An Avian Eye opera for London’s National Gallery.
In october 2016 Sainio worked in a residency with Imogen Heap in Manchester.
