Ekaterina Kornishina

Ekaterina was born in Moscow in a family of scientists and athletes. She started music at the age of 4. As a child she performed at the historical stage of the Bolshoi Theater as part of a children’s choir.

In 2003 Ekaterina entered the Central Music School of P. Tchaikovsky in the class of the famous professor of flute Y.N.Dolzhikov.

At the age of 13 she won “New Names “ competition and became a scholarship holder of the New Names Foundation. After that Denis Matsuev constantly invites the young flutist to perform at the festivals “Crecendo” and “Stars on Baikal”.

Ekaterina is a pupil of the New Names Foundation and she was a student of the great Yury Dolzhikov, a terrific master of flute art. In 2015 Ekaterina made a debut in the Brahms hall in Vienna with Mozart concerto and Wiener Concert-Verein orchestra.

At the age of 18, after graduating from the Central Music School, Ekaterina, at the invitation of Vladimir Spivakov, becomes a soloist of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia and got a present from Vladimir Spivakov – the instrument made by Altus company.

From 11th years old Ekaterina is a regular participant of international music festivals in France, Norway, Germany, Israel, Russia, Greece, Austria and Italy, visits the master classes of the famous professors of Europe, such as Felix Renggli, Francois Laurent, Vicens Prat, Vincent Luca, Shigenori Kudo, David Formizano, Kersten McCall, Andrea Lieberkneht, Philippe Bernold and Sophie Cherie.

Ekaterina Kornishina performs on the same stage with such famous musicians as Denis Matsuev, Vladimir Fedoseev, Vladimir Spivakov, Alexander Sladkovsky, Christian Schultz, Arkady Shilkloper and many others.

In 2016 Ekaterina receives a scholarship from Hyundai company for her academic success at the conservatory.

In 2018 Ekaterina finishes the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the class of Professor Alexander Golyshev and enters the Reina Sofia School of Music in Madrid to the class of professor Jacques Zoon.
